Oh the glory that the Lord has made
And the complications when I see His face
In the morning in the window

Oh the glory when He took our place
But He took my shoulders and He shook my face
And He takes and He takes and He takes

So yes, Sufjan Stevens. Highly recommended. Not all of his songs make you want to cry.

Meet Harvey...

Guitar

So I assume that most of you don't know that I have acquired a guitar. Yes, the day we all have looked forward to or possibly feared is here. I shall learn to play and accompany myself whilst singing. Note that this is not actually MY guitar, though mine is black and tough. This is why I named him Harvey Wallbanger (the author wishes to thank Heather for the suggestion of Harvey).

However, as of now, I have no idea how to play or what strings are what. So, if anyone I know lives near me and wishes to help me learn, I will be most appreciative. Not appreciative in the sense of I can pay you (YET), but appreciative nonetheless. Seriously, I would really love it if someone could teach me how to play.

The Egg Hunt Slideshow

Ok, my readers, I found a slideshow that would work on Blogger (crosses fingers). Here we go.

I'll probably only leave this up for a few days, a week at the most, since it makes the loading time more significant. So enjoy while you can!

And I'm Back in the Game...

Here are a couple of pictures from Easter Sunday morning, where Heather, Angela, and I are looking [cue Teen Girl Squad Voice] so good!

I have a bunch of pictures from the Easter Egg Hunt from Saturday, but...well it's a lot of pictures. I'm going to try to get a slide show up on Myspace. We'll see how that goes.

Things I Want To Say To The People Sitting Two Tables Down

It's college drama. Deal. And learn to deal QUIETLY. I don't need to hear everything you say.

*Also, I don't need to hear everything you eat. If I can hear you chew from 2 or 3 tables down, perhaps you should take a table etiquette and manners class. You know, just perhaps. In general, one closes the mouth whilst masticating, and one does not talk with his or her mouth full. I'm just saying.

Two in as many days?

Yes, it's true. It's another blog from me. This one is also mostly pictures, but take what you can get, you know? These are from Laura Beth and Joe's wedding on April 9th. Before you see the photos, though, do know that they got engaged, planned and pulled off a wedding in 3 weeks. Three. And no, it wasn't a shotgun wedding. His father is in the armed forces and is being sent overseas for a good while, so they went ahead and got married so his father could be there. So yes, this is the absolutely gorgeous three week wedding, in pictorial form.

I also got to see some old college friends, most importantly my senior year girls. It was really good to see everybody, even though we didn't really get to chat and catch up a lot.

And there's one of me and the bride for good measure. I think we look cute. Anyway, the Burfitt is no longer the Burfitt. She is now the Cuyar. Yay!
